Keys and accents

Marks always end up in this order: letter, vowel sign, anusvara or visarga, Vedic mark. Capital M is the anusvara, lowercase m stays ಮ. A consonant followed by M or H gives the full letter plus the sign (kM = ಕಂ). Put the break key in between to keep the half letter: c`H = ಚ್ಃ. With Vedic mode on, g`M gives the single āgama anusvāra ꣳ (U+A8F3). Vedic mode off turns off the three accent keys and ꣳ, so quotes and apostrophes type normally. Q right after a consonant adds the nukta (jQa = ಜ಼). The number keys type Kannada digits unless you switch them off at the top. The font is Arkavathi, a modified version of Goda by Venkatesh, embedded in this page (see About & credits below).
